Hyaluronic acid fillers

Hyaluronic acid already exists in your skin. A filler reintroduces it where volume has been lost, for example along the nasolabial fold or the lip border.

Session length30–45 minutes
How long the result lasts6 to 12 months
Starting price€290

How the session works

First the face is assessed at rest and in movement, because the volume missing at rest is not always the volume missing when you speak. Then we decide how much product and where. The injection takes a few minutes per area, with anaesthetic cream if the area is sensitive.

What to expect afterwards

Swelling and small bruises are common in the first 48 hours and resolve on their own. The result is visible immediately but settles over about two weeks as the product takes on water and integrates.

When it is not done

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, with an active infection in the treatment area, and with a known allergy to any component. Tell me in consultation if you take anticoagulants. It is not a bar to treatment but it changes how bruising is managed.

Frequently asked questions

How long does facial filler last?

Six to twelve months in most cases. Duration depends on the area, your metabolism and the quantity used. Highly mobile areas such as lips resorb sooner.

What is the difference between filler and botulinum?

They are different things. Filler adds volume where it has been lost. Botulinum acts on muscle and concerns expression lines. Botulinum is a prescription medicine and is only discussed in consultation.

Can it be dissolved if I do not like it?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid is resorbable and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. That is one reason I use resorbable rather than permanent products.

Does it hurt?

It feels like pressure more than pain. Anaesthetic cream is used on sensitive areas such as lips, and many products already contain lidocaine.
